Born in Haridwar, Uttarkhand and studied kathak dance from the guru Shovana Narayan at an early age. She first appeared on film at LSR College, Delhi, and quit the school to pursue an acting career. She achieved fame soon, and went on to make her first film, Ishtam. After the film, she was introduced to the nation and soon was signed onto other films, including Santosham, Tagore, and Enakku 20 Unakku 18. The last one, Enakku, was a major hit ebcause of the music of A.R. Rahman. She has worked in Kollywood, Tollywood, and Bollywood extensively Shriya Saran has become one of the most successful Tamil actresses today, with millions of fans and many upcoming movies sure to be worth waiting in line for. With her natural beauty and compelling personality, it's no wonder she is such a famous and talented actress. |
